Overview

OneAnagram is a free anagram solver and word finder. This policy explains what information is collected when you use oneanagram.com, how it's used, and the choices available to you.

Data OneAnagram itself collects

OneAnagram does not run its own analytics and does not require an account. The letters you search, your recent and favorited searches, and your light/dark theme choice are stored only in your browser's local storage — this information is never transmitted to OneAnagram or any server we control. You can clear it at any time via your browser's site data settings.

A service worker caches the app's files (pages, styles, scripts, and the word dictionary) on your device so the site loads quickly and keeps working offline. This is on-device caching only.

Definition lookups

Clicking the ⓘ icon next to a result sends that single word to a third-party dictionary API, dictionaryapi.dev, to fetch its definition. This only happens when you explicitly click it. See dictionaryapi.dev's own terms for how they handle requests.

Advertising and cookies

OneAnagram displays ads served by Google AdSense to help cover the cost of running the site. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance.
