The rules, quickly

Spelling Bee-style puzzles give you seven letters arranged around one required center letter. Every word you submit must:

• Be at least four letters long
• Use only the seven given letters
• Include the center letter - but any of the other six can repeat as many times as you like within a single word

A pangram - a word that uses all seven letters at least once - usually earns a scoring bonus on top of its length.

Using the dedicated solver

The main word finder is built like a Scrabble rack - each letter you type can only be used once per word - which doesn't fit Spelling Bee, where a letter can repeat as many times as it likes within a word (think "essence," which needs three Es). The Spelling Bee solver is a separate tool built for this game specifically: enter your seven letters, mark one as the required center letter, and it searches every word length in the dictionary - not just seven-letter combinations - correctly allowing repeats.

How the scoring works

• 4-letter words are typically worth 1 point.
• Longer words are usually worth one point per letter.
• Pangrams generally add a flat bonus (often 7 points) on top of their length score.

Note that this is unrelated to the Scrabble point values shown next to results on this site - those reflect standard Scrabble letter scoring, not Spelling Bee's length-based system, so ignore the little score badge entirely when you're using the tool for this game.
